(HB) - The division in charge of economy-budget of the People’s Council of the northwestern province of Hoa Binh led by Hoang Van Duc, head of the Economic Commission of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, conducted an inspection on the planning and implementation of construction projects in the province on April 11.

Report by the provincial Department of Construction said it provided consultation on the compilation of a general plan on construction sector, comprising of five sub-plans.

They include a comprehensive plan on construction in 2020, with a view to 2030; and a plan to develop automobile transport in the province in 2020, with a view to 2030.

Others are to develop port and inland wharf system in the province in 2025, with a view to 2030; and one on the province’s parking lots in 2025, with a view to 2030.

Besides, the construction department devised and submitted to the provincial People’s Committee to consider, adopt, amend and supplement a comprehensive plan on frontage roads and junctions along national roads running in the province in 2025, with a view to 2030.

After six years, the plan has been implemented. Many projects are being built, aiming to meet demand for travel and goods transport of local people. However, due to limited finance, the implementation of the plan is behind schedule, resulting in most of the projects remain incomplete.

Proposed budget to carry out those construction plans stands at 23.1 trillion VND (nearly 995 million USD), while more than 9.35 trillion VND (402.63 million USD) were allocated./.
