In recent years, young people
from local ethnic minority groups and rural areas have received assistance in
startup in the form of information, knowledge and start-up skill, and help in developing
projects.
Every year, the provincial HCYU committee organises a contest of creative and startup
ideas for local youths, attracting more than 30 projects each year, with 70-80
percent of those submitted by contestants from ethnic minority groups.
From 2019, the provincial HCYU committee has coordinated with the international nonprofit organization Aide et Action (AEA)to initially establish a business incubatorforethnic minorityyouths. Over 20 projects of ethnic minorityyouths registered to join the programme, with 13 projects of those selected for support.
In 2018, the youth startup project of the province was launched,
leading to the appearance of many good economic
models run by ethnic minority youths, such as the club of youths good at doing business,
youth cooperatives, and youth farms. Those models have become a reliable
channel for local youths to share experience and knowledge, support each other
in capital and materials, as well as an effective one to seek and access support
policies of the State.
Notably, the
provincial start-up club has members being project owners that participated in
the provincial contest of innovative and startup ideas, two thirds of whom are
ethnic minority young people. Meanwhile, the club of youths good at doing
business gathers winners of the Luong Dinh Cua Award in the field of
agriculture and forestry.
Hoa Binh currently has over 680 economic models owned by young people, with
nearly 400 of those operating in the field of agriculture - forestry, creating
stable jobs for thousands of local youths. Many models post profits of hundreds
of millions dong per year, generating jobs for young people.
To further promote entrepreneurship movement among local youths, in the coming time, the provincial HCYU committee and the provincial youth federation will continue to effectively implement the startup youth project of the locality in the2018 – 2022 period, conduct surveys and implement a provincial-level project on compiling
startup consultation
materials and building a number
of startup models for young people in Hoa Binh. They will also promote connection of channels to provide consultation and
support for young entrepreneurs,
and give advice on building youth startup funds./.
