In 2022, local businesses and cooperatives overcame many difficulties and made important contributions to the province's socio-economic development, helping Hoa Binh to complete 17 out of the 19 set targets.

In the year, the province granted licences to 75 domestically-invested projects worth 38 trillion VND (1.59 billion USD), 31 projects higher than the figure in 2021.

Meanwhile, 495 new firms were established in the year, with total capital of about 10.95 trillion VND. Local firms paid 2.3 trillion VND to the State budget, accounting for 47% of the province's total budget collection, and creating jobs for 81,880 labourers.

In 2023, the province targets a 9% economic growth rate, with per capita income reaching 70.9 million VND, total social investment hitting 20.7 trillion VND and total budget collection of 7.28 trillion VND. Hoa Binh expects to have 580 newly-established enterprises.

To this end, the provincial People’s Committee has outlined nine major tasks and solutions, including improving the provincial competitiveness index, and assisting local firms in administrative procedures.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh hailed efforts of local businesses and cooperatives and their contributions to the province's socio-economic development, as well as their strong performance in social welfare activities.

Highlighting the heavy tasks of the province in 2023, he asked local departments and sectors to work hard together to deal with obstacles facing local businesses, while speeding up the improvement of the local investment and business environment.

He asked businesses and cooperatives to continue to overcome present and long-term difficulties to achieve their business targets, while restructuring themselves to enhance business efficiency, and actively responding to emulation movements and charity activities, contributing to boosting the province's socio-economic development.

On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented its flag of emulation to the Nissin Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Luong Son industrial park for leading the emulation movement in 2022.
