(HBO) - The Hoa Binh People’s Committee has organised a dialogue with entrepreneurs and investors to gain business updates and promptly address issues facing the business community, thus creating favourable conditions for their operations in the province.

Bui Van Khanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, concludes the function and assigns tasks to local sectors and competent agencies.

In the first half of 2020, in addition to carrying out the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimate as well as improving the provincial business climate and competitiveness, the Hoa Binh People’s Committee promptly implemented the Government’s resolutions on measures to support those who are affected by COVID-19 and the Prime Minister’s direction on urgent solutions to alleviate difficulties facing businesses and ensure social welfare. However, operations of many sectors were hit hard by the pandemic, with business and production activities stalled.

Between January and June, the province registered the establishment of 171 new enterprises and 24 cooperatives with total capital of 5.2 trillion VND; while 12 enterprises and 8 cooperatives voluntarily dissolved. Meanwhile, 152 enterprises, 25 cooperatives, and over 1,500 household businesses temporarily suspended operation. The province attracted 27 investment projects, seven projects less than that of the same period last year.

Concluding the function, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh thanked the business community for their contribution to Hoa Binh’s development and expressed his sympathy for the difficulties facing them caused by the pandemic.

Khanh requested that local departments and sectors gather the group’s comments, promptly reply to their proposals, clear their obstacles, and facilitate their operations./.
