(HBO) - The National Agricultural Extension Centre together with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province held a forum on August 5 to seek solutions to forestation providing material for wood export in the year.
Forest
growers participate in the event to share their experience and difficulties in forestation
in the locality.
The event offered local people a chance to
discuss policies, guidelines and solutions in terms of forest development in
Hoa Binh and other northern mountainous localities with authorities, scientists
and businesses. It helped them zone suitable areas for development in line with
the forestry plan of the whole region, contributing to socio-economic
development, environmental protection, hunger elimination and poverty mitigation,
as well as raising income for local residents and ensuring security-order.

development models in the locality.
Authorities, scientists and firms fielded
local people’s queries in forestation and put forward measures to forest
development supplying material for wood exports, such as to bolster links
between firms and forest owners for sustainable management, issue forest
certifications, improve seedlings and technology, and enhance forestation in
keeping with wood value chains and wood products./.
