district’s Suoi Hoa commune is being upgraded to serve tourism development.
Bui Van Nhan, Secretary of Suoi Hoa commune Party Committee said that defining
site clearance for projects is a key task, the committee has assigned cadres to
closely coordinate with the district's working group on site clearance and
investors, focusing on mobilising people’s support and implementing plans and
procedures for site clearance.
Dinh Duy Khai, Vice Chairman of Tan Lac district People's Committee said the
district has established a working group to serve site clearance work for
investment projects as well as directed Suoi Hoa commune People's Committee to
collaborate with specialised agencies and investors in calling on people to
transfer land use rights. The district authority have made efforts to speed up
the completion of land-related procedures, invested in building infrastructure
in resettlement areas and allocated land for relocated people in line with
regulations.
There are four tourism projects in Suoi Hoa commune that are
implementing site clearance work. Regarding Ngoi Hoa eco-tourism area, a key
project that was scheduled to start construction this year, 91% of required
land has been cleared.
Projects in Suoi Hoa commune are encountering trouble with land clearance.
Households and investors have not yet reached agreement on the compensation
price. Besides, people feel insecure about social security and their livelihood
after transferring land to investors.
Bui Van Binh, who lives at Suoi Hoa commune’s Ne hamlet, said local residents
strongly support the implementation of projects in the locality, especially
road project 435, which has the land handed over on schedule, ensuring its
progress. Regarding projects not financed by the state budget, local residents
want a suitable compensation mechanism to ensure their interests. They also
asked competent authorities to direct investors to carry out their projects as
scheduled to help create jobs, improve living standards and promote local
socio-economic development.
Tan Lac district People's Committee has instructed specialised agencies and
local administrations to tighten land management and closely coordinate with
investors to remove obstacles to site clearance for investment projects. The
district also proposed that the provincial authorities and investors start the
construction of projects soon, so as to exploit the potential and advantages of
Hoa Binh lake, ensuring long-term livelihoods for local residents./.

Located in the northern part of Lac Thuy district, with a temperate climate and fertile soil, Phu Thanh commune has great potential and advantages in growing tea. The long-standing experience, combined with strict adherence to organic farming practices in the tea gardens, ensures that the dried tea products from Phu Thanh and Lac Thuy as a whole are sold out immediately upon production, providing a stable and prosperous life for the local people.

Under current regulations, products in the One Commune – One Product (OCOP) programme that are rated three stars or higher must undergo re-evaluation every three months. However, in reality, some of these products fail to consistently meet the required standards, raising concerns about the sustainability of their OCOP certification. This underscores the urgent need for producers to enhance product quality and gradually develop their OCOP products into strong, marketable brands.
