(HBO) - In the period of 2018 - 2023, the Farmers' Association at all levels of Luong Son district have been actively implementing the activities to accompany and support the farmer members to build OCOP products from the agricultural local key products. Thereby, it has been contributing to improving the productivity, the product quality, building th ebrands for the agricultural products, bringing high income to farmers.


The product of Viba banana of Viba banana cooperative in Lien Son commune (Luong Son) is increasingly expanding the consumption market after being labeled OCOP product.


In April 2023, the Executive Board of the Farmers’s Support Fund in Luong Son district coordinated with the People's Committee of Hoa Son commune to disburse the loans from the People's Union Fund for the members. Ms. Hoang Thi Xuan, the Chairwoman of Hoa Son Communal People's Committee says: This is a loan from the the Farmers’s Support Fund, which is entrusted to the the Farmers’ Union to implement the project of breeding pigs in Bui Tram village, Hoa Son commune. The total disbursed capital is 300 million VND, 7 households were allowed to borrow capital in 36 months to invest in livestock. During the implementation of the project, the Communal People's Committee always encourages the members to actively apply science and technology to improve the quality of livestock, it is step by step towards building the brand name of OCOP products of the commune and district.

Being well aware of the role of the farmers in implementing OCOP Program, over the past 5 years, the People's Committees of Luong Son district has regularly propagated officials and the farmer members about the State's guidelines and policies on the agricultural support, supplying and providing the legal knowledge, e-commerce, clean production... thereby, it has helped the farmer members understand and grasp the meaning and effectiveness of the program to actively participate. They have organized studying tours for the good production and business households, and farm owners to visit and learn production models; exchange, learn experience in connection with trade, looking for the partners to promote the linkages and joint ventures, and expanding the markets for agricultural products.

Along with promoting propaganda, the Association advises and supports cooperatives, cooperative groups, production and business households with potential products and local strengths to participate in trademark building and registration of OCOP products of the district and province. Building loan projects from People's Cooperative Funds at all levels to develop OCOP products for groups of HVND households. Up to now, the District People's Committee has managed nearly 6 billion VND of Fund resources, lending money to 18 projects with 154 HVND households to develop production. The projects are built on a scale and methodically by the Association, applying science and technology in production and farming to improve productivity and product quality, gradually becoming the district's sustainable OCOP brand.

Along with that, the Association actively coordinated with specialized departments of the district to support HVND to put agricultural products on the e-commerce platform. During the period, there were 620 HVND households with products participating in the Postmart.vn e-commerce platform; Associations at all levels coordinate to support 540,000 traceability stamps for organic agricultural production groups, VietGAP, and OCOP in the district. Through the cooperation in building 2 stores to sell and introduce agricultural products, the Association has linked and connected with 5 companies and 3 stores dealing in clean food to consume agricultural products of cooperatives. cooperatives), cooperative groups, branches, professional farmer associations, creating a sustainable link chain.
