Hoa Binh city has allocated 654 million VND (nearly 26.200 USD) for supporting the protection and sustainable development of 507ha of natural forest to carry out Project 3 on sustainably developing agricultural and forestry production to tap into the potential and advantages of regions to produce goods in value chains.
The move aims to help with
reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting the environment, preventing and
controlling natural disasters, and fighting climate change.
In addition, the city earmarked 736 million VND
for the maintenance of five roads and irrigation canals. It also spent more
than 3.8 billion VND on assisting local households to develop production in
value chains and models.
The 34-km Hoa Binh-Moc Chau Expressway whose construction began on September 29 is expected to pave the way for the northwestern region to grow further.
The Northern Industry and Trade Fair - Hoa Binh 2024 - will take place at the Hoa Binh provincial Exhibition and Convention Centre from October 14-20. The organising committee of the event held a meeting on September 26 to finalise preparation for the fair. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the fair organising board Quach Tat Liem chaired the meeting.

Dong Bac dragon fruit cooperative group in Dong Nang hamlet in Dong Bac commune of Kim Boi district is one of the cooperatives that has demonstrated effectiveness in promoting the linkage of production and consumption of dragon fruit. The entire area of 4.5 ha of dragon fruit is cultivated according to VietGAP standards.
Over the past years, Da Bac district has effectively put in place the "One Commune-One Product” (OCOP) programme, thus raising the value of key agricultural products as well as income of local residents.
