(HBO) – The Ministry of Public Security’s Drug Crime Investigation Police Department in collaboration with the Hoa Binh Police launched a movement for drug prevention and control and deployed forces for a related communications campaign, at a ceremony held in Tan Lac district on November 17.
Representatives of 16 units under the district’s
communist youth union sign a commitment to joining the movement.
Over the past time, the complicated situation of illegal
drug use tended to increase in many big cities and provinces. According to
statistics, Vietnam has more than 254,500 addicts with management records.
Hoa Binh is a venue for drug criminals to transship drugs
from northwestern provinces to Hanoi and delta provinces and bring them abroad.
The local drug crime has yet to be thoroughly resolved and
the number of drug users remains high, posing potential risks to security and
safety. Therefore, anti-drug communications activities are considered a key
task of the entire political system and people from all walks of life.
At the launch ceremony, representatives of 16 units under
the district’s communist youth union signed a commitment to joining the
movement.
After the event, police officers and young people began
their participation in the awareness-raising communications campaign across
main roads in Tan Lac.
Nearly 232,000 students across the province joyfully attended an opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 academic year on September 5.
For many years, Hoa Binh province has effectively integrated ethnic policies into new-style rural building, contributing to giving facelift to, and improving the material and spiritual life of ethnic minority communities in the locality.
From the beginning of the year, the People's Committee of Lac Thuy district directed the agencies and the specialized departments to collaborate with the district's Social Insurance to promote and encourage the residents to participate in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance.
In the morning of August 26th, the South Korean non-governmental organization Good Neighbors International (GNI) donated 36 projectors with a value of over 900 million VND, to the schools in Hoa Binh City.
To contribute to ensuring social welfare and achieving the Government's target of universal health insurance coverage, the provincial social security sector is collaborating with the Department of Health and healthcare facilities across the province to ensure that participants receive the best possible care.
