Union members break piggy banks at the festival

This is a practical activity of the Women’s Unions of Hop Thanh and Hop Thinh communes in particular and Ky Son district in general, thus contributing to the effective implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No.05 on continuing studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts and moral example. The campaign was launched at the beginning of this year to boost study encouragement and provide assistance for children of poor union members and women to help them pursue education.

During the event, 670 piggy banks of women in the two communes’ nine villages were broken, collecting 478.2 million VND, which will be used for study encouragement activities such as presenting gifts to nine students with outstanding academic results from families of union members, providing zero-interest loans totalling 55 million VND to 11 women, and supporting the study of children of union members with difficult circumstances in 2018./.
