At the event, participants showed their aptitude for Vietnamese, handwriting skills and painting talents, and took part in folk games.

The programme aimed to encourage the teaching and learning of Vietnamese among ethnic minority students, and offer a chance for them, especially those in education universalising classes, to improve their Vietnamese language skills.

According to the organising board, many students had beautiful handwriting and creative layout in their entries. The painting competition also received many works with clear layout and bright colours.

Notably, the exchange programme also featured 25 booths displaying local specialties with brief introduction in Vietnamese.

The successful event inspired students’ interest in and use of Vietnamese while encouraging the teaching of the national language to ethnic minority students.

On this occasion, the Hoa Binh provincial Department of Education and Training granted certificates of merit to two collectives and 16 individuals in recognition of their excellent achievements in education universalisation./.
