(HBO) -The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh city has put a "rice ATM” into operation in Ky Son ward, providing rice free of charge to disadvantaged people from April 20-30. The activity aims to help poor locals overcome difficulties during the time of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the first "rice ATM" launched
in Hoa Binh city. Each person can receive 2 kg of rice for one take.
The activity benefits poor and near-poor
households, social policy beneficiaries, those living inextremely
difficult circumstances or greatly affected by the pandemic, especially workers
and freelance labourers in the city.
Those that come to receive rice must carry their
identity cards (citizen ID), to provide information serving epidemiological
examination.
They are requested to have a temperature
checking, wear face masks, wash their hands with antiseptic solution, keep a
distance of at least 2m from others, and strictly follow other disease
prevention principles before taking the rice.
In the spirit of "If you need, come and
take rice - If you are okay, leave the rice to others - If you have plenty,
please donate ", the municipal People’s Committee has called for support
and donation from businesses, organizations and individuals in the city to
maintain uninterrupted rice supply at free distribution points during the
difficult time, in order to leave no one behind in the fight against the
epidemic./.
