(HBO) - The youth union of Yen Thuy district on August 1 held a festival to promote reading culture among children and teenagers in Yen Tri commune.
The standing board of
Yen Thuy district’s youth union presents five gift packages to disadvantaged
children in Yen Tri commune.
This is a meaningful and practical activity in accordance with the spirit of
Instruction No. 37, datedonJuly 5, 2021by the Ho Chi Minh
CommunistYouth Unionof Hoa Binh province on organising activities
within the framework of the summer youth volunteer campaign 2021, which
aimsto raise public awareness of the role and importance of reading
culture among children and teenager, towards promoting reading culture in
the community.
Over 500 titles of book with different topics for children and teenagers are
available at a free reading room in Yen Tri commune, attracting a large number
of readers.
At the event, the standing board of Yen Thuy district’s youth union presented
five gift packages worth 1.5 million VND to disadvantaged children in Yen Tri
commune.
According to the district’s youth union, its standing board has organised many
activities to encourage reading movement among its members, and local children
and teenagers, thus widely promoting reading habit in the locality./.
