The secretariats of the Vietnam Youth Federations of Hoa Binh and Thai Binh provinces jointly held a ceremony to launch the volunteers programme Winter 2023 - Spring 2024 in Yen Thuy district (Hoa Binh province), on December 16. The programme is held annually targeting disadvantaged people in remote, isolated areas.


Officials take part in a ground-breaking ceremony to build a charity house in Sao Vot hamlet, Lac Sy commune, Yen Thuy district.


At the event, organisers handed over 20 gift sets to social policy beneficiary households, 20 gift sets and blankets to children from disadvantaged backgrounds with good academic performance. 

As many as 100 Vietnamese maps were presented to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCM CYU) committee and the Vietnam Youth Federation chapter of Yen Thuy district.

Hoa Binh province’s young entrepreneurs association provided a funding worth 50 million VND (2,000 USD) for constructing a charity house for a poor household in Lac Sy commune.

Nguyen Thi Van Trang, author of the book "Letter under the pillow", gifted 500 sets of warm clothes to impoverished children in the locality.

Within the framework of the volunteers programme, the HCM CYU committee and the Vietnam Youth Federation chapter of Thai Binh mobilised 200 million VND (8,200 USD) for poor people and children in Yen Thuy district and assisted with the construction of a youth work project worth 10 million VND in the province. 


Union members participate in planting "Youth trees" programme in Thong Nhat hamlet, Lac Sy commune, Yen Thuy district.


Several activities were held after the launching ceremony, including free medical checkups and medicine for 250 poor people and children, inauguration of some youth construction works, a job orientation session for students and members of youth unions, among others.
