(HBO) – Striding on the concrete road from Trung Son village to Boi village, Ngoc Son commune (Lac Son), you can see the spirit of unity and collaboration to build new rural areas of the authority and people in the commune. The road has a length of 1,000m, a width of 3m and it was started in December, 2016, thanks to 4 affected households who voluntarily donated their land to build the road. The local residents contributed their working days. Therefore, the construction work was completed in March 2017. Since this road opened, the local people have no longer been worried about traveling every time it rains.
Mr. Bui Van Huyn, The Secretary of Party Committee of Ngoc Son commune said: Since the implementation of building new rural areas, the commune has strengthened the propaganda about the purposes and significance of the program and mobilized people to actively participate. At the same time, it is necessary to implement seriously the public on the plan of building works for local people through the meeting or discussion with local people, through the commune radio system, ensuring " people know, people discuss, people do, people check”.
Promoting democracy in building new rural areas, 4 households voluntarily devote their land to build the concrete road from Trung Son village to Boi village in Ngoc Son commune (Lac Son).
Despite a lot of difficulties, the commune strives to complete 10/19 criteria of building new rural areas. The medical station met the standards in 2010 to meet the needs of medical examinations and treatment from the local people. The figure of households using electricity regularly and safely is 98%; the rate of universal education reached 100%; the solidification of inter-village roads is over 50%. For 9 months this year, in addition to the state budget and the capital from supporting projects and programs of building new rural areas, the commune has mobilized people to contribute their working days, money and land with a total of 26 million dongs. It can be seen that the good implementation of democracy promotion at basic level has contributed to raise local people’s awareness about their responsibilities in building new rural areas, which creates foundation to improve the face of an upland commune with many difficulties.
Mr. Bui Van Nhuong, The Head of Cha village, Ngoc Son commune informed: People take the direct benefits from the plan of building new rural areas. The concrete roads replacing the land roads before help local people travel much easier in heavy rain and push the price of goods and agricultural products more. The center market is currently being upgraded its scale to create favorable conditions for local residents to trade many kinds of goods. Hence, the average income of a person in the village is about 17 million dongs/ year, which is higher 2 million dongs than the overall average income in the commune.
In comparison with the localities in the advantageous areas, Ngoc Son commune still lacks some dificult criteria such as cultural facilities, transportation, income and poor households, etc.In order to overcome these difficulties and push the program progress, improve the effectiveness of implementing the program, The Secretary of the commune Party Committee added: In upcoming time, the commune will strengthen the propaganda to make a stronger change in the awareness of Party members, officials and people. There will be promotion in the competition movement "Embark on build new rural area” and the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urbans”. There are some policies to attract enterprises to invest in the local area, develop production, do business in agriculture, trade and service. There will be mobilization in capital sources, concentration on infrustructure construction. In particular, it is necessary to promote the maximum of individual roles of people and ensure all the legitimate rights that they are deserved to have.
