Vietnam’s top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam won the men’s singles title of the Thailand F3 Men’s Futures tennis tournament on June 24.
Nam, world No 529, came from behind to beat French Jankovits
Yannick, No 2 seed and world No 414, 2-6, 7-6, 6-4.
Yannick has 13 Men’s Futures titles to his name, while this is
Nam’s second taste of Futures success, after winning the Vietnam F5 Futures last
year.
"I am very happy with this title. It is the most meaningful
title for me because I won it on away ground. It will be a driving force for
me,” said Nam.
With this trophy, Nam
is expected to enter the world’s top 500 for the first time.
