As of the end of May, Hoa Binh province has planted nearly 5,098 hectares of concentrated forest, reaching 91.85% of the annual plan. Of this, in May alone, the new afforestation area in districts and cities was nearly 3,550 ha, reaching almost 64% of the annual target.

In addition to afforestation,
localities have tended 2,812 ha of forest, zoned nearly 2,200 ha of natural
forest for regeneration, and organized the reclamation of over 1,500 ha of
substandard planted forests for rehabilitation.
Forest management and protection
efforts continue to be strengthened, especially during the peak dry season. Localities
have reviewed and developed on-site forest fire prevention and fighting plans,
while also enhancing awareness campaigns, monitoring, and protection of
existing forest areas.
