Thanks to its close proximity to Hanoi and a diverse range of resorts, eco-tourism sites, and community-based tourism destinations, Hoa Binh is attracting domestic and international visitors looking to explore its scenic beauty during summer.

The Heritage Park for Vietnamese Scientists in Tieng hamlet, Bac
Phong commune, Cao Phong district, is not only a place to enjoy fresh air and
stunning landscapes but also offers a unique educational experience. Visitors
can gain scientific and cultural knowledge while enjoying outdoor activities.
The park is becoming an increasingly popular choice for companies, businesses,
and schools hosting events and team-building sessions for thousands of people.
This summer, the site is also organising a youth camp under the theme "We Are
Soldiers,” allowing children to take part in camping, cooking, and team-building
activities. The camp aims to help children build independence, discipline, and
camaraderie while learning about Vietnam’s history and scientific achievements.
Hoa Binh is home to more than 50 eco-resorts, many of which have built strong
brands, such as Serena Kim Boi Resort, An Lac Ecofarm Hot Springs, Avana
Retreat, Mai Chau Ecolodge, Ba Khan Village Resort, Mai Chau Hideaway, Maida
Lodge, Xoan Retreat, Mo Village, Ivory Villas, and La Saveur Resort. These
venues offer a range of recreational activities, including fishing,
grass-skiing, camping, and kayaking, providing visitors with memorable
experiences.
Nguyen Minh Tam, a tour guide who regularly accompanies visitors to Hoa Binh,
said the lush green landscapes, spectacular mountain views, and relaxing
retreats are major draws for tourists.
Nguyen Dieu Huyen, a visitor from Hanoi who stayed at Serena Kim Boi Resort,
shared that her three-day trip was rejuvenating. "Soaking in the mineral bath,
cycling under green canopies, and admiring the beautiful surroundings gave me a
real sense of peace and relaxation,” she said.
Besides, community-based tourism is on the rise in Hoa Binh, especially at
villages that showcase the diverse cultures of local ethnic minorities. Popular
villages include Lac, Van, Pom Coong, Hich, Buoc,Cha Day, and Hang Kia in
Mai Chau district; Ke and Sung in Da Bac district; Chien and Ngoi in Tan Lac
district; Mo in Cao Phong district; and Mu in Lac Son district. The province
now boasts over 200 homestays, with five community-based tourism sites earning
3- and 4-star OCOP ratings.
To enhance visitors experience, some villages have introduced new attractions,
like night market every Saturdays at Lac village in Chieng Chau commune,
Mai Chau district.
Bui Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture,
Sports, and Tourism, noted that the province’s rich natural scenery and
indigenous culture make it an ideal destination for eco- and community-based
tourism.
"As we enter the most vibrant tourism season of the year, Hoa Binh’s refreshing
climate and lush landscapes offer a perfect summer getaway,” he said.
Beyond leisure and wellness retreats, visitors can immerse themselves in local
culture, explore terraced rice fields during harvest season, trek through dense
forests, try paragliding, and shop at traditional highland markets.
