(HBO) - The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all social aspects. In the first half of 2020, some key industrial products declined compared to the same period last year. In the first quarter, export activities were affected by material supplies, while facing with difficulties in the second quarter due to strict travel restrictions imposed by European countries, the US, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
(HBO) - After ten years (2010-2020) of implementing the new-style rural building programme, Hoa Binh’s rural areas have been given a facelift. By the end of 2019, 88 out of 191 communes, or 46 percent, were recognized as new-style rural areas. On average, each commune fulfills 15.1 criteria of the programme.

This resolution grouped nine communes and townships of Lac Thuy commune into the economic driving force zone. After the merger of administrative units, the zone currently comprises six localities, namely Ba Hang Doi township, Chi Ne township, and the communes of Phu Thanh, Phu Nghia, Dong Tam, and Yen Bong.
(HBO) – In implementing the national strategy on gender equality for the 2011-20 period approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 2351/QD-TTg dated December 24, 2010, the Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee has ordered departments, sectors and organisations to implement the strategy in an effective manner, and create favourable opportunities for both men and women in all fields.
(HBO) - According to data from the provincial People’s Committee, local businesses have faced difficulties and obstacles and suffered severe losses due to impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
